Travel grants to MS&T are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. For information and an application, e-mail Candace Cunningham at students@asminternational.org.
- ACerS
The Nuclear and Environmental Technology Division (NETD) of ACerS is pleased to announce the recipients of the NETD student travel stipend for MS&T'07. Applications were received from students at 16 universities in three countries. All of the applications were of excellent quality, and the division had a difficult time selecting the students to receive the awards. We would like to thank all the applicants for their efforts.
This year's awardees are:
- Ryan Koseski, Pennsylvania State University
- Julie Anne Mackey, University of Connecticut
- Alan Piquette, Oklahoma State University
- Sam Schleh, University of Washington
- Ka Wong, North Carolina State University
These travel stipends, in the amount of $250, are awarded to help students attend the ACerS Annual Meeting and MS&T'07. The awards will be presented at the NETD business meeting in Detroit.
Student Monitors
Students may partially defray expenses by serving as session monitors. Monitors assist session chairs, record session attendance statistics and assist with audio/visual equipment. Monitor positions are limited and are assigned on a first-come basis. Interested students should e-mail Jan Moloney at jmoloney@ceramics.org.
