Structure-Property Relationships of Multifunctional Oxide Thin Films and Interfaces

Focus: Progress in research and development on multifunctional thin films and their interfaces.

Topics: Oxide thin film synthesis and integration; dielectric, ferroelectric, magnetic and optical properties; atomic structure and chemistry of interfaces; magnetic, optical and electronic modification of properties through interfaces; catalytic activity of interfaces; novel characterization methods for interfaces and defects; development of active devices and novel fuel cell systems/chemical sensors.
