Edsel and Eleanor Ford House - Grosse Pointe Shores

Experience the elegant lifestyle of a bygone era at Edsel and Eleanor Ford House in scenic Grosse Pointe Shores. At the home of Henry Ford’s only child, Edsel, you’ll see original antique furnishings, an impressive collection of fine and decorative art, and much more in a breathtaking 60-room Cotswold mansion designed by the renowned architect Albert Kahn.
After you stroll 87 acres of lakefront gardens and grounds, enjoy a catered meal where you can relax and reflect on your travels through the historic Ford estate.
Detroit Historical Museum and Pewabic Pottery

Detroit Historical Museum
Located in Detroit’s Cultural Center, the Detroit Historical Museum showcases the development of the city and how it became the automobile capital of the world. Walk through time in The Streets of Old Detroit with shops from the 1840s, 1870s and 1900s. Glimpse into the city’s role in the Underground Railroad and delight in The Glancy Trains Exhibit.
For more than 75 years, the museum has chronicled the life and times of the region, showcasing its rich history. Immediately following the tour, you will head to Lola’s restaurant, the jazzy lunch spot with the contemporary feel of Detroit.
Pewabic Pottery
Pewabic Pottery is a living treasure and offers visitors an exciting glimpse of a little known part of American history. Founded in 1903 during the Arts & Crafts Movement, Pewabic is nationally renowned for its tile and pottery in unique glazes. This distinctive experience will begin with a private tour of the Pottery’s historical exhibits and museum.
MS&T'07 Free Tour - GM Renaissance Center
Date and Time: Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

GM Renaissance Center
This free one-hour tour takes visitors through the landmark GM Renaissance Center and outlines the rich history that General Motors shares with the city of Detroit. Tours depart from the customer service desk in the GM Wintergarden. No advance registration is required.
