Cancelation of In-Person Event

The MS&T organizing partners have canceled the in-person MS&T20 event scheduled for October 4-8, 2020 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The health and well-being of attendees and our staff members are at the forefront of our minds in making this decision. We have also been made aware that governmental bans on mass gatherings, severe travel restrictions for attendees, and other factors resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond our control have made holding an in-person event of MS&T’s scope and complexity not possible. More information on MS&T20 Virtual will be available in the coming weeks.

If you had registered for the in-person MS&T20 event, you will be notified personally and receive a full refund.

If you made a hotel reservation within our block, your room will be canceled. No action is required on your part.

COVID-19 STATEMENT: MS&T and the Partner Associations (ACerS, AIST, and TMS), working in partnership with the MS&T20 venues, are complying with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and relevant state and local authorities in an effort to provide a safe and healthy environment for MS&T20 attendees during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. However, COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease and it is not possible to eliminate the risk of spreading or contracting COVID-19. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present, and efforts to mitigate the risk of exposure to COVID-19 may not be sufficient to prevent spreading or contracting COVID-19.
